Alyse Worley
Corporate Recruiter
Charleston, SC
Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in the upstate of South Carolina and got my degree from Wofford College in English and Spanish (I love books, writing, and talking!). I am a big Wofford Terrier fan, especially during basketball season. I spent some time working at financial planning firms and in higher education before moving to Charleston and joining LCE as Corporate Recruiter in 2015.
What do you love about Life Cycle Engineering?
I love the great people we have at LCE, starting at the top with leadership that really cares and gets to know each employee personally. I also love the team atmosphere – we are all invested in LCE’s success and we’re in this together!
What advice do you have for candidates going through the hiring process?
Listen carefully to the questions being asked and answer questions directly while providing examples to back up your answers. It’s always better to ask for a question to be repeated or for clarification rather than going in a totally different direction than the interviewer intended. Also, pauses in an interview are ok! Be sure to slow down to think before responding when needed.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy trying new recipes, especially vegetarian food! I’m a big reader and try to read a few dozen books every year. I also love to spend time outside at the beach, pool, or travel to go hiking in the mountains.
What is your favorite travel destination (or dream travel destination)?
It will be hard to beat a recent trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada. I love to visit places with beautiful scenery. I want to go everywhere, but Croatia, Switzerland, and Hawaii are high on my list for future travel destinations.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
I played volleyball in high school and my team won a state championship! I was not blessed with height so I was a back row/defensive specialist (libero).
