Katie Rash
Corporate Recruiter
Washington, District of Columbia
Tell us about yourself:
I’ve lived in the DMV area for most of my life and earned my degree in Art History and Psychology at Christopher Newport University, so being near and apart of Navy culture is familiar to me! I got my professional start at a prominent tech company in 2010 and promptly ‘fell in love’ with recruiting. I have spent the last 12 years in Pharma, Tech, Government and Emergency Management honing my skills to learn and grow into a better recruiter. I currently live in the Washington, DC area with my two kitties and enjoy very nerdy hobbies such as costuming and attending conventions.
What do you love about Life Cycle Engineering?
Life Cycle Engineering not only values it’s clients but also its employees. From a ESOP to “Doing the Right Thing the Right Way” LCE demonstrates integrity in interactions with colleagues, enthusiasm in communications, and pride in the quality of work we produce. My team works very collaboratively which is exactly my style! I love being a part of such a great network of professionals!
What advice do you have for candidates going through the hiring process?
That from the very beginning you are a valued part of our company, don’t be afraid to be honest about what YOU want for yourself here at LCE!
What do you like to do outside of work?
I’m a huge nerd! I love to costume, play role playing games, and go to conventions with friends! I also really love animals and regularly contribute to WWF and other animal based charities to protect our animals and our environment.
What is your favorite travel destination (or dream travel destination)?
I’ve been to Ireland and plan to go back in the very near future! The culture, people, music, and history is also a part of my family heritage, so it means a lot to me.
What would most people be surprised to learn about you?
I used to play roller derby!
