Efforts included participation in responding to bidder’s questions, source selection process, and follow-on technical review of the Vendor design. We have participated in all design reviews and the review of all CDRL documents/drawings for the system, requirements, hardware/software design, along with testing plans and procedures, and ILS documentation.

USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) Power Generation and Distribution System Upgrade and Replacement

As a sub-contractor to GE Power Conversion which was a contractor to the Military Sealift Command (MSC), LCE personnel developed detailed installation and removal packages for the power generation, distribution, and support systems. This support involved several ship checks, the development of equipment removal drawing packages, the selection of system components, and the development of detailed installation drawings. LCE also prepared supporting engineering calculations including system voltage drop, updates to the electrical plant load analysis, and updates to the power system one-line diagram. LCE provided on-site support during the removal and installation of the upgraded power generation and distribution system.

USNS Cesar Chavez ( T-AKE-14) Heavy E-Stream Installation

As a sub-contractor to Gryphon Technologies, which was a contractor to Military Sealift Command (MSC), LCE provided support in the upgrading of the Standard Tensioned Replenishment At-Sea Method (STREAM) stations. This support included the development of detailed removal and installation drawing packages as well as the performance of an electrical system impact analysis to ensure the upgraded system had no adverse impact on the ship. The analysis performed included a review of the Electrical Plant Load Analysis (EPLA), voltage drop calculations, and a Fault Current/Circuit Breaker Coordination study.
