Michelle Staley
Logistics Analyst
Norfolk, VA
Michelle, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. I joined the Navy (through the delayed entry program) my junior year of high school and left for boot camp two weeks after I graduated. I spent four and a half years in the Navy as a Wardroom Cook and received an honorable discharge in August 1999. After I left the Navy, I worked for the South Hampton Roads YMCA Association while putting myself through college and continued working for them for 10 years. When I am not working, I enjoy gardening and working in my yard, working out, reading, and spending time with my husband and my two dogs.
What do you do at LCE?
I have been with LCE for six years as a Logistics Analyst working to define, analyze and solve complex logistics support problems. I assist in the development and implementation of processes to improve ship maintenance availability logistics issues, such as configuration changes and provisioning for new or modified equipment installations. I also interface with NSWC Philadelphia, other contractors, and government activities for surface combatants and aircraft carriers. I am skilled in the detail review of ship change documents and drawings, developing ILS checklists and certifications, as well as entering, tracking, and validating configuration overhaul planning data for Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical material.
What do you enjoy most about working at LCE?
I enjoy that some of my colleagues are also friends. I enjoy the “family” environment as well. I think LCE does a great job of investing in their employees and therefore their employees continue to invest in LCE.
Michelle provides support to the following LCE solutions:
